Kyle sits down and cannot reconcile the feeling of dread that is coursing through his mind and body, with the warm comfort of the little house and the seeming kindness of Sister Isabella. He knows he is considered a trouble maker and a sinner by all of the Sisters at the orphanage, especially Mother Superior Roberts. Kyle also believes that he deserves their scorn and retributions. As far as he is concerned there is something wrong with him that nobody seems to be able to correct, especially not himself.
