Jane: We're all ears Simon.

Simon: Good. As I'm sure Doctor Fambrough told you, the sleep chambers have some pretty sensitive biometric functions that don't work well with dry bodies, so you need to use the shower in the changing room before you come out into the lab. Use the soap that's in there, you'll have to wash your face and hair too I'm afraid. It's a mild anti-bacterial soap, but at least it doesn't smell bad. So, wet bodies, no clothes.

Jane: Yeah, he mentioned all that in the orientation. Do we really need to be naked, or is that to advance your pants instead of science?

Simon: Clothes mess up the biometrics even more than dry skin does, really.

Ting: I hope I can relax enough to sleep in the nude.

Simon: We use a mild sedative and what's called a Cortex Interoperability Matrix to induce a deep sleep, so you don't have to worry about insomnia or anything like that. Let me show you to the changing room then. There are two pills on the counter in there, one for each of you. Please take them with water before you come out.
