Luxana: My goodness! Those DSI chambers are much different than the one I saw at the Treatment Center.

Barry: Yeah, they're like the fourth generation of our third prototype. They work just fine, really. We've tweaked the bio-monitoring mechanism quite a bit since these, so the new models, like the one you saw, allow a patient to get right in without any special preparations.

Luxana: Really, what kind of special preparations do they have to do here?

Barry: These units get confused by clothing and dry skin reduces their accuracy. So our subjects take a quick shower using a mild disinfectant soap. The dampness is what we really need, the soap's mostly to put their minds at ease about sleeping naked on a bed that gets, you know, "used" by other people. At The Center they can wear pajamas and don't have to shower. The biometrics are better there.
